Commitments
The rules CERIEP applies to every assignment
These commitments form part of every contract concluded by CERIEP. They apply to institutional relations, public affairs, event organisation, meeting facilitation and follow-up assignments, in France and abroad. October 2026 version. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
1. Independence
CERIEP represents no interest of its own. It acts on behalf of its client, within the framework agreed with them in writing, and carries only the client's position. CERIEP is paid through its fees and receives no commission, rebate or benefit from the suppliers it coordinates: any rebate obtained benefits the client. It informs the client in writing of any relationship it may have with a party to an assignment.
2. Transparency in relations with public authorities
Where an assignment qualifies as interest representation under French law no. 2016-1691 of 9 December 2016 (the "Sapin II" law), CERIEP:
- registers with the register of interest representatives kept by the High Authority for Transparency in Public Life (HATVP) as soon as the legal activity thresholds are reached, and declares its clients and actions there each year;
- states its identity and the name of the client on whose behalf it acts to any public official it contacts;
- neither offers nor proposes any gift, donation or benefit to a public official;
- does not seek to obtain information or decisions by fraudulent means, and communicates no information it knows to be inaccurate;
- does not pass on to third parties, for payment or free of charge, any information obtained from a public official;
- organises no event at which a public official would speak for payment;
- refuses any success fee tied to obtaining a public decision.
The same principles apply, by analogy, to assignments carried out outside France.
3. Integrity
CERIEP complies with French anti-corruption laws and with those of the countries where it operates. It does not offer, promise, give, request or accept any payment, gift, hospitality or benefit intended to obtain or retain business or an improper advantage. Any gift or hospitality connected with an assignment is approved in advance in writing by the client, of reasonable value, and recorded by CERIEP.
4. Confidentiality
Participants' identity, the content of discussions, the documents produced and any commercial, financial or technical information received during an assignment remain confidential, during the assignment and for at least five years after its end. CERIEP uses this information only to perform the assignment. No client reference is published without written consent.
5. Personal data protection
Meeting participants' personal data (names, positions, contact details, attendance) is processed solely for the purposes of the assignment, on the client's documented instructions, with CERIEP acting as processor within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679. CERIEP applies appropriate security measures, notifies any data breach without undue delay, and returns or deletes the data at the client's request and, in any event, at the end of the assignment. No meeting is photographed, filmed or recorded without the prior consent of the client and of the persons concerned.
6. Traceability
At the client's request, every meeting or event handled by CERIEP gives rise to written minutes, delivered within two working days, recording decisions and actions with their owners and deadlines; actions are then followed up until the next meeting or for the agreed period. Deliverables belong to the client upon payment of the corresponding fees.
7. Right of refusal
CERIEP may refuse or discontinue any step that would breach the law, these commitments or the legitimate interest of a third party, and informs the client without delay. The client undertakes to provide accurate information and not to ask CERIEP to act outside this framework.
